Malaysian Prince Alam Shah – heir to the throne of the Pahang Sultanate used to train with William and Harry.
According to SCMP, Malaysian Prince Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah was born on September 17, 1995, he is the eldest son of the King of Malaysia and the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah. Alam Shah’s mother was the Empress of Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Like many other members of the Royal Family in the world, Alam Shah was sent abroad to complete his education, as well as learn to stand on his own two feet, instead of relying on his family background. Among his children, he is not the only one who has to go to school halfway around the world from home. Sharing with Malaysia’s national news agency, Alam Shah said his father sent all of his children to the UK to study abroad to want him and his siblings to learn to be independent.
It is known that the young prince spent his early years as a student at England’s Caldicott Preparatory School and Sherborne School. After that, he graduated, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations of Switzerland.
As heir to the throne of Pahang, Alam Shah also had to undergo training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England. This is a famous academy that has trained a series of famous royal members such as Prince William, Harry, Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah and Alam Shah’s father – King Al-Sultan Abdullah.
Despite his royal background, Alam Shah is said to have a very modest personality, during 44 weeks of training, he only bears the name “Shah” to avoid attracting attention. In 2020, as Commander-in-Chief of the Malaysian Armed Forces, Al-Sultan Abdullah personally conferred the rank of Second Lieutenant on his son Alam Shah.

If Alam Shar’s sisters, Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan, are known for their mental health advocacy work, he is particularly interested in protecting the environment. According to The Star, Alam Shah used his royal pension to donate to Pahang’s Covid-19 relief fund and the Pahang4Palestine fund launched by the Malaysian government.
Every time he returned home, Alam Shah took advantage of his hometown, he often accompanied his father to Pahang’s public offices. Currently, he is responsible for the third largest state in Malaysia. Alam Shah once said in an interview with the New Straits Times that he is happy to serve the people.
