Honda is quite actively implementing the strategy of “electrifying” its personal vehicles when environmental issues make the internal combustion engine likely to come into play in the not too distant future. Recently, Honda China has introduced an electric bicycle called Honda U-BE with a compact and friendly design.

U-BE is an electric bike, which means it has an extra pedal so that the user can cycle in case the battery runs out or want to exercise. However, the design language of Honda U-BE is still compact and with a fairly short saddle, just enough for a single person to sit. The total weight of the car is only 51kg.

The entire lighting system on the car uses LED technology to save energy but still ensure the ability to illuminate. The DRL light kit helps increase vehicle visibility during the day – a small but essential feature for electric vehicles. Besides, Honda U-BE also has a digital clock, smart key and convenient USB charging port in case the user runs out of battery.

In terms of power, Honda U-BE will have 3 engine options, 15Ah, 20Ah or 25Ah, which will mainly affect the vehicle’s acceleration. All options use the same battery, and are capable of storing electricity for a maximum range of 85km per charge.

The selling price of the Honda U-BE electric car is extremely cheap, from only 3099 yuan – equivalent to 11 million dong. It is not clear whether this model will be brought to the Vietnamese market by Honda, if so, this is a very good choice for many users.
